Montage It! Concept & Model.

Concept
Sculpturist/Architect: Antonnio Gaudi
Gaudi’s Scultures embrace a curvilinear form and are based on natural organic beauty.
“If nature is the work of God, and if architectural forms are derived from nature, then the best way to honor God is the design building based on his work” – Gaudi
Gaudi designs for a man made homage that captures the concept of fractal mathematics and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Fractal maths – A rough and fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is a reduced size of the whole/original.

Model
Material: Clay – represents the medium he uses for sculpturing
As a whole the model appears to be a large coiled shell but ontop of this consist of smaller coiled shells overlayed ontop which comply’s with Gaudi’s incorporated concept of Fractal Mathematics.
I wanted to created the idea that Gaudi works within his own sculture and design surrounded by a natural secluded environment.
